Is it fishy for a 17 year old girl to wanna date a 14 year old boy?
My cousin is only 14 and got a date with a 17 year old high school senior girl.

I dunno. I'm 7 yrs older than both of my two ex's. I never dated anyone in my teens so don't really know what the 'ethics' of it are. Is there anything wrong with two people dating despite being 3 yrs difference in age? I'm guessing the concern here is that there's going to be sex involved and some people are of the blinked god-bothered view that because they are both non-adults and probably not aware of the concept of 'consent' that it's 'unethical'... Does that seem right?

@WendyLopez43 Ok I'm in Australia so those terms aren't used here. 14 y/o is roughly year 8 or 9 (middle years of high school) and 17 is roughly year 11 or 12 (last year[s] of high school). I never dated until mid-20's so I can't talk to anyone about teenage dating with any life experience to guide me.
