Yes. My first girlfriend was not pretty to me but the more I got to know her the more I wanted her. In the end I loved her more than she loved me.

I can't speak for a man, but for me there has to be some small part of physical attraction, even if most wouldn't find it to be attractive at all and I find it sexy. A lot of people men and women don't ascribe to the general ideas of attractiveness, they want to make up their own mind.

I guess so. I think many men and women have fallen in love with someone they weren't physically attracted to at first, but then that person became attractive to them because of attributes different than "looks".
