Its tradition. So... yeah
WendyLopez43 · 26-30, F
@RedwoodBarman cool, let's break it!

men and woman should have a competition of some sort.. winner gets to keep the name and looser must submit
@Strawberrry Hah hah

Today it is very common, particularly in women in a licensed profession because think of the hassle changing everything.
@samueltyler2 Divorce. Maybe it was good thing but it’s always traumatic.

@DarkHeaven It is almost 3 years now and she is in a far better place. Her ex is still a knucklehead and tries to gaslight her, and it hurts her, but she has a new partner and is doing far better.
@samueltyler2 Glad she is doing better. ✌️
Why wouldn't it be? Why should anyone change their name for marriage and even if you come up with a good reason, why would it have to be the woman?
Slymbo · 61-69, M
Its fine. Its a woman's choice.
@Slymbo ain’t nothin. I’m just a nobody anyways.

Well of course. But it is best if she and her husband get on the same page before the wedding. If he won't back her up on this, they may have a lot of other disaggreements ahead.

Yes...my wife actually hyphenated her last name. In the US by doing that she use maiden name...my last name or the hyphenated name. All are legal to use.
Lilymoon · F
Yes or hyphenate it with yours
