It happened with my first boyfriend.
He was intelligent, interested in and committed to the environment, and naturally a very nice human being.
But the first time he kissed me, his lips, which were huge and rubbery, felt absolutely disgusting. His saliva felt like slime.
I did not have the communication skills to be able to say what was wrong.
I broke up with him.
We remained friends, and to this day we still chat via Facebook.
Since those early days, he's had two wives, raised three daughters, is now a grandfather, and rose to be the Head of National Parks and Wildlife before his retirement.
I've always really liked him as a person, but there was zero physical chemistry for me.

Kissing is not as important as other sexual acts..
But I DO read a LOT from the first kiss when I meet a stranger and am contemplating a sexual relationship..
If it's not up to par, I's a let down for me and they have a big hill to climb with me from then on...

It’s never happened to me, but I can see how you could really like/love someone, but not enjoy any aspect of intimacy with them, for various reasons.
Yes and no...the latter just means that you have some learning to do together...

I love my fiance but don't like kissing. 🤷🏻♀️ I'm not really an affectionate person to be honest. Unless you're a dog or hamster, then I will hug and cuddle you to oblivion.

I haven't experienced that.
I can't recall any.

Years ago, I dated a woman I really liked, but her lips were too mushy.

no, some ppl just have really crap technique, usually due to being mistrained by a previous lover (or pure ignorance)
