I wouldn't do it myself, but between consenting adults I don't particularly see an issue. The common issues with it is that it can come with oppressive views regarding religion, sexism, racism, etc. So it could be a slippery slope. But consenting adults who are fully aware of their situation and preferences should be able to have as many partners as they want so long as the others are aware of it, alright with it, and it's not a toxic or oppressive situation.

I don't think it can work. Because humans are messed up, we want more partners but don't want our partners to be with other people. I honestly think those don't end up well because there will be someone who gets strong feelings and starts getting jealous and resentful.

@Qwerty14 no one said it's a harem, you're mixing something entirely different here, imagine 2 women and 3 men for instance.
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic I never said a harem either. But it's clear that a harem is the most likely case and has been how polygamy has been practised in the past.

@Qwerty14 Well yes, because of power. When you're in power and have wealth I think there is little you can't do. You could bend the rules. I'm pretty sure women would do something like this if they could.
