Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@Billybob2 Ah, that'll be it. Motherly instinct!!
Boy are you going to be fed well!!

leeloh · F
You're unavailable now.
leeloh · F
@ncgremlin then 🤷‍♀️
@leeloh I relate more to you that men so where there's distance between us it's always a little bit unsettling.

not you specifically but women usually.

It's just- That which is out of reach doesn't suddenly become more attractively simply because I can't have it.

In fact if anything my own psychology seems to be pretty much incapable of falling for anyone that doesn't treat me well, so somebody that basically wouldn't give me the time of day can pretty much get fucked.

I aparentally am the exception who chose an unfamiliar and foreign happiness over a familiar breed of chaos and sorrow.

@leeloh whether I'm with someone or not its the same. Not attention at all. I'm lucky if I find someone to be with.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
I've been in my relationship for a very long time now but I did notice that change too.

Here's my theory:

When you're on the lookout for a partner it can colour how you treat women. At the same time, women often find unwelcome sexual attention from men uncomfortable if not threatening.

So when you're no longer looking, your interactions with other women are going to be more relaxed and natural. They'll be treated more like people as opposed to sexual prospects. And -that- is attractive.

Did you watch the movie "Shallow Hal"? His neighbor is gorgeous, but refuses to go out with him because she thinks he's a shallow dick, but once Hal begins to date the fat girl, in the belief that she is a hottie, his neighbor suddenly believes that Hal is NOT a shallow dick...and wants to go out with him.
Billybob2 · 26-30, M
@4meAndyou But I like chubby lol, and she likes being called it
4meAndyou · F
@Billybob2 How nice for you, Hal.
Billybob2 · 26-30, M

They live in a world where some men think it's acceptable to put a bumper sticker on their vehicles saying they hate fat chicks. You are now perceived as not being among those hostile arrogant men.

@greenmountaingal she wanted to just be friends, so now I'm avaliable again.
perceptivei · 36-40, F
They feel less intimidated/insecure. And, they feel more confident. It's the same thing with men.
thiccchungles · 22-25, F
Must be nice
There’s a long-held theory that once a man is involved with a woman, he projects more confidence, which can be very attractive. Also, since you mention your new partner is not ‘model thin‘, others who may’ve thought they had no chance might now be more encouraged.
Billybob2 · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard turns out that new partner just want to be friends now, so I just became available again lol.
@Billybob2 Ah...
Billybob2 · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard it's okay, I took someone up on their offer.
