Before we got married, my wife and I had broken up for about a 5 month stretch. (We had dated 4 years through college before the breakup). She ended up "dating" a friend of a friend who I had always gotten along with. We went to the same gym and my friend was sharing a beach house with him that summer so I would crash there a bunch too. He was always so chill to me. It was odd but at the same time it was hard to be angry with him. Still friends with him now too, 10 years later.

Yep, my dad. He was friends, at least got along with all of his ex-wife's boyfriends and husbands.

I also had two very good friend during my teens and early adult years. One of them ended up with the other's girlfriend (eventually marrying her.) They remaind acquaintances for decades. But then, he was actually going with (fathered a child with,) the guy's sister before he ended up with his girlfriend too.

As for me. That'd never, ever happen.

I had girlfriend that was black, she was married but separated from her husband and had 2 kids, her husband was actually pretty cool with me, sometimes he would come by her house and we would talk have a beer or 2, it was great.

Yeah. My stepdad became friends with my dad before he died. And one of my mom's old boyfriends became my dad's best friend for many years. I thought that was more weird...but he's been around since I was 9 so he's like family now. "Uncle" hahah 🤷‍♀️
