How men know that it's love they feel and not just infatuation?

Our balls tingle in a different way

@Quizzical like tingle once for infatuation and twice for love? 😖
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@JBird Or it alternates rapidly between them 😁

I think time is an easy differentiator between the two.

Love is "friendship on fire"...I love my wife very deeply and I love her in every way possible. She is my companion, my partner, and my best friend. I am interested in her for who she is, what she likes/enjoys, and what interests her. Her thoughts, feelings, wants, needs, hopes, dreams, etc. are just as important to me as are my own (and sometimes even more so). Yet I find her attractive, desirable, beautiful, and am very infatuated with her too...she is the kindest and sweetest person in the world to me. Just looking at her, thinking about her, and spending time with her makes my world light up and my heart still flutter (even after 16 years together)😉
Deep down we all know if it is lust or more but foolishly denie it or deliberately deceive the other person.

@Reflection2 Honest.
@Magenta only if we be honest. If it is lust, keep it that way and if it more, express openly.

@Reflection2 Nice. Self awareness/honesty isn't very common.

They don't know but it doesn't stop them from saying I love you.

I think how long they stay attached/have interest, determines it.

Once you pass 15 years together, it's no longer just infatuation.
