@MarmeeMarch 18 is the legal drinking age in Australia, so you can legally get drunk while still in high school - not that anyone's parents take notice of the drinking laws here anyway.
@MarmeeMarch No, probably not. Unless you have a secret compartment sowed in you're schoolbag so the teachers can't find the booze and smokes when they do a locker search. Works every time. actually, teachers at my school were harder on cigarettes than alcohol. 🤔
@Billybob2 maybe ,,but I have asked to go so I can actually go to a prom I was in service when my class had their senior prom The answer was always No I have put my kids through high school ,I just wanted to watch them the school said no ,I could be a chaperone but I had to be pre approved way in advance But I did run lighting and sound for them ,,so I was finally able to go to a prom and see my kids enjoy themselves
Sept 11 and all the mass school shootings have changed things a lot Not many schools that are not effected by it
@Billybob2 I have seen students dance with teachers ,so maybe but it was just a gesture ,they didn't come as a date but if it didn't appear its a clear prom date ,maybe
I am at the schools a lot ,,they know me and don't even need my ID they print me a visitor pass from my licence already on record The principles all know me by name ,most teachers speak to me But without that pass ,,I am sure I wouldn't get far The schools are like mine prisons now days They want to know who is there and why ,,with all the crap that goes on at schools now days In my home town they just busted another teacher for having sex with boys my cousin was stabbed to death this morning ,schools are war zones SO that is why you have to be pre approved ,they are just trying to protect our kids ,,and they are not always successful

If this question were translated to real life, would you go to the prom of a teenage girl?
The guy I went with was 21, so technically there’s no reason not to, as long as everyone is on the same page. He was a friend of the family, attending U.C. Berkeley. I didn’t think I was going to be asked, so I committed myself several months in advance. Then two different guys asked, and I was stuck, although I had a really nice time with the friend. And some of the classmates were envious that I was with a “college guy”. 😏
