Can a teenage boy take a grown woman to prom?

Like in her 20's or older?

As a rule NO
They have to be on a list ,pre approved just to be a chaperone
As a rule they won't allow it

@rckt148 maybe it's different for some schools

@Billybob2 maybe ,,but I have asked to go so I can actually go to a prom
I was in service when my class had their senior prom
The answer was always No
I have put my kids through high school ,I just wanted to watch them
the school said no ,I could be a chaperone but I had to be pre approved way in advance
But I did run lighting and sound for them ,,so I was finally able to go to a prom and see my kids enjoy themselves

Sept 11 and all the mass school shootings have changed things a lot
Not many schools that are not effected by it

@rckt148 are the chaperones allowed to dance at all?
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@Billybob2 I have seen students dance with teachers ,so maybe
but it was just a gesture ,they didn't come as a date
but if it didn't appear its a clear prom date ,maybe

I am at the schools a lot ,,they know me and don't even need my ID
they print me a visitor pass from my licence already on record
The principles all know me by name ,most teachers speak to me
But without that pass ,,I am sure I wouldn't get far
The schools are like mine prisons now days
They want to know who is there and why ,,with all the crap that goes on at schools now days
In my home town they just busted another teacher for having sex with boys
my cousin was stabbed to death this morning ,schools are war zones
SO that is why you have to be pre approved ,they are just trying to protect our kids ,,and they are not always successful
