Is love often reciprocated? I don't know if this is shameful or not. I have never been loved...

I have been witness to the infinite possibility of all spacetime. In my time as the wizard Mantalock I have been subjected to many cruelties in the name of Love. I feel your pain. Right now I feel your desire burn through me as if we were one and it was my desire. You will find the love you seek. I fear when you find it you will fail to recognise. I beg you to stay vigilant and your time will come lowlander.

I was just like you...up until I met my wife when I was 36. I have never been one to expect or even want people to go above and beyond for me (though it is really nice when they do from time to time)...I would've just been happy with and appreciated just to be given what I gave, but that just never happened with love interests, friends, or family. I got used and taken advantage of quite often. People can be very selfish and self-centered. Some may not realize they are doing that, others do it because they think if they give you the time of day they are entitled. My wife has given me more than I could ever ask for or hope for...I consider myself to be a very fortunate man. She does it out of love for me and appreciation for all that I've given to and done for her. It is wonderful!!

It sure feels shameful to be the one always longing when the lovee careless. It can't affect your confidence. You feel like begging...all the time.
There are times where love is mutual, but you have to accept that not everyone will enjoy that in their lifetime.
Dry your tears and let go of the "want", life is too short.
Focus on giving, learn to derive your happiness from the act regardless of the world's response.
