Do you think it's okay for a person with special needs to date or marry someone without special needs?

Of course it is. They’ll get static - but that’s a good friend sorter-outer.

‘Special needs’ is a recent label. People’s names get placed in that file folder by well-meaning people, but by nature, human beings usually settle on one label and don’t cross file. ‘Learning disability’ ignores kind hearts, great senses of humor, amazing artistic talent, cooking skills, ability to love, mechanical wizardry. The things that get ignored are far more important than a high grade on a geography test.

Of course! They are human too and didn't ask for their health issues. Love is love.

If there is mutual understanding then it can b for sure

As long as the one without special needs isn’t manipulative
likesnatural · 70-79, M
Sure. Why not. It just takes a lot of true love or care.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Sure why not. When I was a kid there was a girl at Scouts whose parents were of that dynamic.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@Thevy29 Where?
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
@Crazychick Does that matter?

@Thevy29 Does what matter?

As long as the one without special needs is able to provide special needs for the one who needs them, it should be OK.

@Crazychick I saw someone helping the other person with special needs help them count their money

I think it's going to depend on the nature of the special educational needs. But if it's a genuine relationship and not coercive, it's probably mostly okay.

Why wouldn't it be?
Billybob2 · 26-30, M
@SW-User some may consider the person without special needs to be taking advantage
SW-User
@Billybob2 I suppose that's possible.
Billybob2 · 26-30, M
@SW-User I say as long as the person with special needs loves them back, it's fine
