isnt it sad when you feel like everyone is in relationships except for you?

I agree, the hard part i find is that any friends i make like at work etc want to spend their spare time with the most important person in their life, which is their partner or at most might spend a few minutes chatting over lunch etc. They are also quick to tell me that being single is great, yet none of them are. I have also met a couple of single friends, but that only lasted until they got into a relationship now i never hear from them. Then there's intimacy. You don't get that with anyone if you're single. So when people say they enjoy being single, i wonder about how not spending any quality time with anyone or having any intimacy or regular physical contact with the same person is enjoyable? Like you said, I think a good relationship is better than no relationship.

I personally don't get it when people say it's not all it's cracked up to be and it's a lot of work because ALL relationships take work and I've never ever felt like the payoff wasn't ultimately worth it at least where women are concerned. EVER.

I had to struggle for a VERY long time to really crack the shyness of at least one person who tended to live in a shell but I never regretted it. what I regret is falling for her best friend and becoming obsessed with her for the better part of four years until they both disposed of me.

I finally moved the fuck on but nobody will talk to me anymore. It makes me sad.

Yea I feel really sad watching the poor man holding the wifes bags and walking 3 steps behind her - then I love when they are discussing something at the store and he just blurts out something loud.

Yea relationships are nice, no privacy - have to be home at a certain time - eat at a certain time - go to bed at a certain time. For what ? a warm body that is next to you making some noise or waking you up. No thanks

I'm not the best one to give any girl advice on dating but here's my take on it.....I don't see much use in "trying" to find a BF. I do a few things that I enjoy for the activity itself so I'm not that concerned about finding someone to hook up with. For instance: swing dancing, playing music, sport fishing, match shooting at gun clubs and at a police range. Result? If I didn't bring an older male cousin who is a good friend along with me to these things I'd have more nuisance from men hitting on me than a bear on a tree at a hound convention.

I no longer talk about this issue with anyone except a few close friends because if I start venting to people, they will tell me the same thing I hear about every 900 million times already "You'll find some when you least expect it". The best thing to do is keep at it, even though you'll get depressed and down at times.
