I've heard that if looking for a spouse you should look for someone who shares the same goals as you. Does that sound right?

I chose my husband because not only do we want the same goals (nothing fancy- a comfortable life in a small place of our own with only pets, no kids), but we are also on the same wavelength- we are both laid back, mostly homebodies except for the occasional outing, and we both like to spend our time doing artistic/scholarly activities rather than sports or social scenes. We just meshed really well together.

Could; both will likely be supportive, and you will find connection there. I guess it depends then what you are looking for in a partner. It can also be said, those with different goals can compliment each other and open up new opportunities
