How would your family react if you date someone of another race?

This guy I've been dating- well I guess now he's officially my boyfriend- is Asian and I'm Caucasian/part Native American (though I don't look Native American at all since I'm so damn pale with lighter features). I have been a bit worried because my parents can be really judgemental and I really want them to be accepting of him. So today I showed a picture of my boyfriend to my parents. It was a relief when my dad said "You guys look good together. I'm glad you're happy."

I did once many years ago...My mom acted as if it was the worst thing to ever happen in this world, my dad went through the roof. It didn't work out but not because of that. I personally believed that if love was real and it was meant to be then race or ethnicity didn't matter, but my parents were and probably still are disguised Christian bigots (they didn't hate others of other races and ethnicities, we just didn't mix with them is what they believed God commanded).
