@SailorMarz Most co-dependent people I know and have known ...do not/did not have that level of self awareness to know they were that way. I think and hope that means you won't find yourself in that situation again

@Fernie I'm [b]too[/b] self aware, i think. I don't like being in my head so much. But i guess this is one of those times where that comes in handy.

@SailorMarz A person can NEVER be too self aware. Self awareness is self-knowledge, being enlightened, awake. If you overthink things ...that is something different. Your self-awareness will keep you from making the same mistakes over and over as many of us do because we do not see ourselves....self aware people DO see

@Fernie I am not saying we should aim for perfection but the question states what is the most important thing in a relationship. I don't think there is one. All of the elements of a relationship are equally important hence my answer balance of all elements
