What makes a good Dom or Daddy Dom?

A [i]lot[/i] of things. Self-discipline, self-control, communication skills, understanding, mutual respect with their sub, ability to set boundaries, respect for boundaries, the list goes on and on...

I believe in being nurturing, kind, and patient. I believe in not needing to raise my voice to convey anything. I believe in being firm but judicial.

I just can speak for the daddy dom thing.
~punish misbehavior
~reward good behavior
~treat littl's spank marks from sese
~reminding her that she is the most important thing, keep her save.
- never loose temper.(because of a bad day or smth.
~ no idle threats
~All boo-boos, whether scratches, bruises and scrapes need to be looked after by the big.
~ make her feel cherished if she does smth fir you. No matter how big or small.

There would be so much more. But i cut it here ;)

Someone that knows the difference between control and punishment with respect.

Someone isn't taken for granted.

I make an analogy with music. There are all kinds of kinks out there, and if you go to a munch or a d/s club or to a kink-friendly website, they are all blaring away like a cacophony of diverse musical instruments playing in different keys. But each sub has her own set of tuning forks within her psyche -- some of those musical sounds resonate with her, and others do not. A good Dom is someone who can learn to play her music.

Knowing the needs and limits of both the Dom and the sub

Everything in life is subjective, and that includes "Good" Daddy Doms. What appeals to one little might not suit her sister. Mostly it means finding that comfort level between the Daddy and the little. I am very strict, but fair, and patient, but I have had experiences where the patience, or fairness, and yes even the strictness were not appreciated.

I would say the ability to read you and to stay when tested...ususally, in my opinion, us littles have a few trouble areas so to speak. These trouble areas will remain through life, for me it is my phobia of doctors and needles. I NEED a dom to be constant. I WILL look for lopeholes always.
