A little of both, I guess. There need to be enough in common so that you feel you are on the same wavelength, and conversation flows easily. But different enough that there's that little spark of mystery and excitement.

But more of the Similar. Someone I can relate to.

Although I do like experiencing new things and learning from someone.

I enjoy becoming friends with people different from me, they can be great friends and great teachers.

I like learning from even people who totally disagree with me
I prefer to learn the thing they believe and at least understand them better
then both of us remain Ignorant ,both of us thinking we know something and both missing a chance to know more
But I don't do ignorant jerks very well
attack me and call me names ,well the lesson in civility may end as quick as it started
