Marriage

You know my parent's know I am engaged to Zackary. Well my dad told me last night they won't pay for my marriage again. They are saving up for the baby. Well first off I never asked them to pay for it at all. But shouldn't they offer to at least to help a little. Me and Zackary we haven't even started to talk about the wedding at all. Last time I got married in went all out. The church and big white dress and flowers. Not really sure what to do now. Zackary told me it is my wedding so it is up to me
Save your money, get married at the court house. LOL
@smileylovesgaming your house seems like the best option.

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy I thought letting Zackary wear his jeans and a checker shirt. And me some girl style cowboy outfit. It would be different to ride the horses to the wedding

@smileylovesgaming I married my wife at the court house, that was 37 years ago .. ..

My first one was a big fancy expensive affair that my parents paid for and the marriage lasted 3 years.. second time around I didn’t ask for a dime from them although they were generous and gave us money anyway but we had a smaller destination wedding on an island at sunset.. it was beautiful, way less costly and we have been married for 20 years and have two wonderful children.. focus on the marriage and the wedding will be awesome no matter what! Best wishes to you! ❤️

@RumorHasIt besides a wedding dress. I thought about wearing some kind of skirt or jeans. And I thought besides walking up. I thought about riding my horse up.

Sounds lovely.. make it your own and a reflection of the two of you.. big formal weddings are way overrated!
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@RumorHasIt I thought about having like a big cook out. Just hamburgers then a bunch of food
This is your second marriage. Your parents don't have to help financially at all. You are old enough to get married so make your own wedding. It is enough that your parents support your decision emotionally. And the wedding day is really not the most important thing. It is the rest of your lives together that matters. Focus on the love and commitment not a huge wedding day.

@PoetryNEmotion I wasn't going to ask them to pay f9r anything. I had my dream wedding.
@smileylovesgaming Well, they are saving for someone's baby. And you already had your dream wedding. Make this one different and lasting, girl. That's all.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@PoetryNEmotion yea my mom is pregnant. So they are saving for that

Why should he pay for wedding for you when you obviously have not chosen the right person yet? How many should a parent pay for? So you are pregnant and they are saving up to help take care of the baby? I would think you would be happy with that.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@bigjohndl baby is their's not my.
Pop0159 · 61-69, M
It's not the ceremony, the celibration, or honeymoon that matters or makes a marriage .. .. its your love of him and his of you .. .. ..

Elope .. it's romantic and cost effective .. ..

Well, being the father of two beautiful girls, neither marriage lasted very long. After their divorce was final, I ask for a refund.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
Just go to Las Vegas and do a Elvis wedding. Cheap and your parents won’t have to go into debt.

One big wedding, one baby shower. After that, you're on your own

@Jentlemen do what
Jentlemen · 46-50, M
@smileylovesgaming Zackary sounds like a nice and clever guy. Don't get motherfuckingly huge wedding. Have something small and wonderful and save money for the baby. Try to be responsible and rely more on yourself and Zack and let your parents live their own life.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@Jentlemen baby I spoke of. My mom is pregnant. I really thought about having it here at the house
Small wedding, go away for a few days with him..
@smileylovesgaming Spending time together is the most important thing in a good marriage, not the wedding.. Good luck to you both.

@JustLikeGreta we could drive then fly. But any places stick out in your mind
@smileylovesgaming I have no idea where you live, or what your interests are. So it depends on a lot..Mainly spend quality time with hubby.

Me and my wife had a small wedding. To use it was more about people being there and us joining as one.
