How do you see the good in someone if they done something horrible.

We often cheat ourselves because of our personal feelings towards another. There may be all kinds of things we could appreciate about the person, but our personal dislike makes us disregard everything about the individual including the good things. It's a natural thing. Of course some pedophile pig dog or chronic narcissistic sadist deserves that disregard. If you cause suffering in innocent people, your poetry deserves to never see the light of day, and your paintings should at best be sold to reimburse your victims or their families with the full disclosure of your vile nature.
If it's a conflict of ideology that causes a person to completely shut another person down, then it is a loss. Just a simple loss, and losses are a common thing.

You give it time, lots and lots of time. It took me 20 years to see the good in my mom after she horribly abused me as a child, but I got it done.

@SweetMae Sometimes I can't see past the ideology, if I find that ideology ridiculous, but I try to remind myself that I am being prejudice and close minded when that happens.

@SweetMae Pedophilia is a narcissistic sociopathy in which the perpetrator feels that his or her 'pleasure' is more important than the feelings or life of any other living thing. It might be something in the neurons, dendrites, axons, and synapse, and neurotransmitter / endorphin activity or even a tumor or polyp on the amygdala or something, but it is like dangerous behavior in an animal, and the animal must be put down or forever separated from society.
If that 'person' has valuable intellectual property, that property should be forfeited and the proceeds should be distributed among his or her victims.
