I remember someone asking the same question on EP about 7 years ago and I started looking for her and after some digging I found her obit on line. its weird how that hit home eventhough I hadnt seen or talked to her in decades before

Hmmm, good question. There were a few.

It Looks like a couple of them are doing pretty well, but I haven't asked. I thought of asking, but contacting someone after 50+ years of disconnect may be an intrusion, something I figured out when I did make contact with old childhood or teen friends, both girlfriends and old buddies.

I did stumble upon one old-old girl friend on Facebook and said hi. That led to a half dozen message exchanges where we brought one another up to date on what we had been up to over the past 50 years. Just as I was feeling good about re-connecting with a old friend who was a dear old friend she just stopped messaging. The very same thing happened with an old high-school male friend. In neither case did I push the conversation and in both cases they were once very close friends.

I did make contact with my old college roommate after 50+ years and we picked up where we were 50+ years ago. He died just a few years after reconnecting, and I later received the nicest letter from his daughter, telling me how her dad had enjoyed our friendship and the fact that we had reconnected.

My friend and classmate when I was 13 years old, we used to sit next to each other in class and go out every weekend but he was just a friend and I never told him. I know where he is and what he does and I'm very proud of his achievements, I always knew he would be successful.

I never crushed anyone.

I met my first one when I was 7, we were really close as kids then his parents moved the family to Belfast when we were 13. We stayed in touch and he moved back when we were 17, things were hard for him after living in Belfast and we lost contact shortly afterwards. Fast forward to 2006 I looked him and his brothers up on Facebook, found his older brother and sister in law and found out, he turned his life around, got married, had a son but unfortunately got separated and 9 months before I moved to the same city he lived in he took his life. She told me that he always talked about me, and thought we’d get married one day. 😭

First crush was a girl in kindergarten..

And no clue about them, nor would I even want to know.. which is sad in some ways because I used to want to know bits of information like that..

My first I was I was in contact with on and off for a total of 17 years. First met him at school when I was 13 and he wished me a 30th Happy Birthday. Lost contact in between for quite a few years as it sounds. I know he went to college as did I but he went to a different one. Then we became friends on Facebook for a few years. He met someone else and got engaged, probably married now. By my 30th birthday although we were in touch for all of half an hour, I had moved on and had crushed on a few other people in those years we had lost contact. Now 6 years later I have no idea where he is.

Jason. In 2nd grade we were going to get married, but he dumped me in 4th grade because I got glasses. 😂 Apparently he’s in jail again. Saved by nearsightedness! 😅🤣

She commited suicide around 26 yrs old. Married and a couple kids. Sad

Lori Motz and she lives in my old hometown where we grew up. Post my divorce and her divorce I looked her up and we talked one time only. When she said she could still get into dating me, but that she might shoot me one night when she was mad at me, that is when I remembered she was flat out NUTZ, and politely excused myself from her home.
