My wife cheated and got pregnant

We tried for a baby for nearly two years.

We tried so hard and then, one night, one mistake, one moment of weakness when my wife went away and she conceives with a stranger.

It killed me every time that I couldn't give her a baby, but now I'm feeling a totally new heart break.

Just because the child isn't biologically yours, it doesn't stop you from being a dad - unless you choose to let it.

Many dudes can create a child... it takes a dad to raise a child - and it takes guts to raise someone else's child and love them as your own.

@IIDavid87II I understand the pain. I'm infertile myself and I'm unlikely to conceive naturally - so IVF and a donor egg could be my only option.

Sure, the child won't be mine, but it will still be a part of my man and I would still love the child just as much.

Same with step children. My life has taught me what I don't want to be as a parent and step parent.

@HootyTheNightOwl I'm so sorry to hear that.

We didn't get to testing either of us to see if there was a problem. If it is an issue with me I always liked to think I could put my ego aside to raise a child either from a donor or who we adopted.

The pain now is more because my wife turned to another man and got pregnant. As much as I thought I could let go of my ego and raise a child with unconditional love, I'm struggling because of how this child was created.
