How long does it take you to forgive someone that

hurt you deeply? For me it might take years and that depends if they apologize and mean it.

it honestly really depends. it depends on the situation, how much investment was involved and how it happened. I can be forgiving if it's somethind simple. we as humans make mistakes that we didn't realize would actually hurt the other person. as humans, we can be ignorant and stupid and not know it. yet, apology accepted. but if it comes to the light as something seems "pre-meditated"? apology not accepted.

@Jeremi I agree because I have been unkind without thinking first but it wasn’t done with pre-meditation in mind. I had one person actually brag about pretending to be my friend before they lashed out on me without mercy. I can’t forgive that person because I’m trying to forget I ever knew them in the first place.

*deep, deep sigh* i wish i could say I haven't been mean to people that didn't deserve it. but I have. forgiveness for me. but instead of dwelling on that, and tearing myself a part, I just take a new new situation handed to me and do better. it's not easy to move on. but eventually, life is going to say: you just have to. and just don't do what you did in the past

@Jeremi I guess most of us are guilty of being mean but some people take it to the highest level. We all carry some regrets but we still need to move on. 🥺
