I feel age gap dating is the best way to go. When I was young, I enjoyed dating older women. When I was 16, I was dating women in their mid 30s. Now that I’m the older one, I preferred dating younger women. The chemistry is much much better in general

My gf is seven years older. Met her at church after the divorce. She's kind of "high above me" . No kids, never married. Her mom lived with her till she died. Father died in a plane crash when she was little. Loves to read. She's vegetarian so that's been interesting. I do a lot of the cooking. Despite thst she's in pretty good shape from swimming. Has a lot of problems with her feet, knee, and hip. Now her hand has issues. Has her own townhome and lake place. Now that I'm retiring She's ready and wanting to travel. I guess if she's paying it's ok.

There is 11 years between my parents so I never really saw it as unusual or an issue.

If it doesn’t bother you guys then who cares.

20 year age gaps isnt a big deal when one is 20 and one is 40.........but when one gets to be 40 and the other one is at retirement age ...it starts to feel like a bad idea. In 15 more years more one is the younger nurse in the prime of her life for the other who is dying. When the older one dies the younger one is past 60....and statistically their chance of finding someone else at that age is about zero. Since women live longer than men usually that dooms that 60 year old woman to maybe 30+ years of being alone. Not a very romantic analysis.....but a realistic one for sure.

If the two people genuinely love each other, age difference doesn't matter. The younger person just needs to accept the fact that the older partner will likely die long before the younger partner. That is not a pleasant thought, but it is reality.
