Perhaps speed dating designed for people "in the middle." Immediately terminate the speed session with anyone wearing an apron with a "Kiss the Cook" graphic on it or answers in the affirmative to your question, "Have you even worn an apron with a "Kiss the Cook" graphic on it. Those people tend to lean conservative, so move on to the next speed session. Finally, let them know upfront you require a certain amount of "alone time" and don't take kindly to non-stop talking.

@TinyViolins conservatism has a damaging impact on men? Where do you get that from? Not from the statistical correlations you cite, I trust. They have several possible explanations as you suggest, nothing supporting the causal you claim. For a careful discussion of the data, see for example, Brad Wilcox's book, Get Married.

@juliem Mostly with regards that conservative men are far more likely to be divorced and far less likely to pursue higher education, which also has a negative impact on marriage viability.

@TinyViolins yes, but confounds all kinds of variables as you know. Family structure matters and it is correlated with class. The affluent are more likely to get married and stay married. But marriage benefits men (and women and children) of all classes. See this site for free data-based material on this.
