My gf spent hundreds of dollars last Christmas buying me stuff for hobbies that I don't even have. I would've been happier with a new pair of slippers or a bottle opener or something useful. I mean, the gifts she got are cool, but she only bought them because she was married to the idea that we'd be doing hobbies together once we moved into our new house.

I still love her, but she kinda lives untethered from reality a lot of times and it's not at all reassuring

@ArtieKat I'm guilty of that too. Books were my favourite childhood possession and I always feel uncomfortable about writing in them.
