What's one thing your partner has taught you about yourself that you didn't expect?

The guy that I dated in high school taught me selflessness I'd never known anyone like him he would give you the shirt off of his back. We were buying slushies and I asked him for $2.00 he reaches in his pocket pulls out some wadded up cash and hands it to me. I open it up and it's $400 dollars so I was like you gave me too much, and was trying to give it back. He says no keep it, what's mine is yours. In the winter he always wore thermals he said, in case he needed to give a homeless person his jacket.

• That I was spoiled (entitled)
• That I did not behave properly like a person should
• That I had anxieties which skewed my opinions on some things

These are from the top of my head, I'm sure I learned other things by being with him, too. I've become a much better person since I first met him many years ago. ♥

That I could be pushed to extreme anger and still not be physical. That's hard to contemplate but when you're being tested, it was good to learn

That you're worthy of love and attention just the way you are.

That I can take care of myself, by myself and I'm happily doing it.

I don’t have a partner but I have learned that I can make it on my own with no outside help from anyone

I can be emotional

To be forgiving when in the past I rarely forgave

That I'm more valued and appreciated than once thought
