Tried to keep it a secret that I have 71/2" penis instead of 8" but somehow she found out.
Asianpersuasion · 36-40, M
@Slicker24 lol
Not exactly.
I think everyone has a thing or two they do keep to themselves and I also don't think you need to know "everything" about your best friend and partner.
But, no one knows as much as they do, especially when you have to trust you will keep each other's secrets, so an interesting balance is in play.

I know that my wife has a few secrets, and I support her right to keep them. They are from far in the past, but she is probably afraid they might change my opinion of her. I think that is impossible, but I defer to her judgment.

Absolutely.. in fact phone email whatsapp etc. are one's secret no one can explore including the SO, similar to work place/ business secrets.
Ferric67 · M
Depends on the secret, but for the most part no
Part of the deal with a partnership is that you help each other out even in tough times....otherwise, why be in the relationship
Ideally, it's a two way contribution

Well...um...I used to keep a secret or two. Mostly about how many bags I had in the trunk of the car from Home Goods. 🤣🤣🤣 I would wait till he went to work, and unload all the bags into the back of my closet, and gradually put the stuff away...when he wasn't home...🤣🤣🤣

Not secrets, but you don't have to outline every detail of your life. But if it's a part of your life that you intentionally keep from your partner and especially if you know that they wouldn't appreciate this perhaps it's not good to do so.

I think it's okay, if the information isn't going to benefit the relationship and if it's not relevant to your partner
ImperialAerosolKidFromEP · 51-55, M
Since SO is a broad spectrum: sometimes. If you said spouse that'd be different
DownTheStreet · 56-60, M
It depends on the secret, in reality. But as a principle one should strive -- and feel empowered -- to share.
Wireman · 31-35, M
Some things are better to not talk about. She may just know who you are talking about.
novaguy2u · 70-79, M
It all depends. If being honest will hurt them, some things are best kept secret.
JackOatMon · 46-50, M
Think you should be as honest as you can.
Tumbleweed · F
That usually doesn't end well :(
WowwGirl · 36-40, F
@Tumbleweed yup.
CarlaMommy · 41-45
It's a very complex question if you think about the dynamics of such a close relationship.
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
I never have
WowwGirl · 36-40, F
@vetguy1991 same
nevergiveup · M
I have nothing to hide
happilymarriedguy · 61-69, M
In a good relationship you should never keep secrets from each other.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
If they are things from the past, I don`t think they need to know.
ABCDEF7 · M
What kind of secret one can think of hiding from them? if you really consider them your significant other..
Gumbodidlo · 56-60, C
depends on the secret
