Why would the guy you're dating keep accusing you of cheating on him with an ex crush?

He is insecure, and these insecurities tend not to be purely imaginary. You did something, however unintentional, to reip this very human instinct in the male mind that we've evolved over millions of years to trigger a warning in his mind, and this inference is often right. Right enough to be easily triggered in the male mind.

A man too accepting and trusting of a woman is either prone to be a cuckold, or has a wife too unappealing or way too old to much worry about.

So accept this as a compliment, and try slowly over time to backtrack and figure out exacrly when this concept popped up in his mind, and don't belittle him for how silly and inconsequential the originating occurence was. The unconscious isn't a force to be brushed aside and deminished in the face of reason or outside perspective. Most people will get jealous if triggered. He has clearly been triggered. Jealous is as much part of being a man as it is in being a woman. It is part of the human condition, part of the inner world of the opposite sex and you just gotta grow to live with it.

And any woman coming here saying it is a red flag needs to be ignored. They are crazy people.
