I'm a woman and I believe that behavior is way out of line, specially if the person Im with is uncomfortable with it, as I would be to his lady bestfriend

TexChik · F
My husband has girls as friends he grew up with, and they interact like family. I have no issues with him enjoying his friends and would not dream of getting in between them. She was a little nervous about me when we first met and I told her my husband was a good judge of character so I had no issues. She wasn't having any of that and demanded that I go with them. We had a blast and she told me all of his secrets 🤣. Now she feels completely fine with popping over or calling him.

If that person was a very clear second priority to me then yes. There should only be two people of equal priority in a relationship and then add one for every child they have. Any relationship with three people of equal priority, where one is not a child of the two, is pretty much doomed.
WendyLopez43 · 26-30, F
@SW-User I have a male best friend who I've known since elementary school but he's a second priority compared to my husband. In fact, I think knowing I like him more than my male bestie has given my hubby an ego boost.

@WendyLopez43 Then that's all good 😊

@WendyLopez43 well hung?
DiegoWolfe · 36-40
All the women i have been friends with who have married guys, the guys ALL are hyper defensive of their ladies, in a way that is FAR TOO TOXIC not in a im keeping my woman safe from creepers and zomboidz… I think if men didnt have such social toxicity to deal with then the guys on a whole would be far less shit!
SamInAZ · 41-45, M
@DiegoWolfe No not Sancho Panza. Just Sancho. Sublime recorded a song about him.
WendyLopez43 · 26-30, F
@DiegoWolfe My husband seems like the opposite, it's like he got an ego boost knowing I liked him more than my bestie.
DiegoWolfe · 36-40
@WendyLopez43 See to me THIS is how a guy should be, confident and safe knowing that he is the one you the partner chose, not like he needs to defend the person he is with, like they are a thing to own and not a human
ArtieKat · M
I was the male best friend. The guy that she started going out with claimed he was OK with our friendship but tried to sabotage it in sly ways. I had the grace to employ him - and the sneaky bastard didn't turn up to open the cafe when he was scheduled to, losing me customers. I sacked him and he wrecked my friendship. It took her several years to acknowledge what a shit he'd been
No. I think she should be allowed to keep the friends she has. I can't believe those became fighting words but they have, it's honestly become part of how I distinguish myself from other guys. it shouldn't be so easy to stand out.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
It would very much depend of the depth of the friendship. Are they highschool chums? Are they past lovers? Are they still intmate?
WendyLopez43 · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 School chums
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@WendyLopez43 Of course not. A school chum is just a chum.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 That completely aside, If my friendship from highschool upset or made my spouse jealous I would end the friendship. My spouse is more important than my friend.
Highskirt · 56-60, M
Not at all .no
Serendipitymaybe · 51-55, M
Yes I would accept it. But, my wife couldn’t accept that I had a female good friend who was a former student of mine. Just venting. Sorry.
496sbc · 36-40, M
She should have friends. As many as she wants. So no. I would not be mad but if she slept with him now im sad. And feel betrayed
Carissimi · F
Unless he’s gay, it’s not possible for the majority. The guy is usually is waiting to sleep with her.
Amylynne · 26-30, F
I have been more than once. It never cost a problem to me. But then I might be a little more accepting than others
Slade · 56-60, M
I have plenty of chick friends. Most are married but it's a non-issue. I have something called self control 😋
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
I have female best friends, i don't know my future gf can accept it ? Lol
Nope. Some people don't believe men and women can be friends only, but I think they can.
BLP11520 · 61-69, M
A very good question, I love my female friends....hmmmn?
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
Yes, i deal with a ex husband that she is still close too
SW-User
No. I don’t trust any other dude. They can be friends and text or call once in a blue moon, but if they talk daily or even weekly we’re going to have an issue. If I’m getting cheated on, it’s on both of them, not just the guy. At the end of the day, it would be my relationship vs their friendship, which holds more weight?
Sevendays · M
Sure. What's the worse that could happen?
DaveE54 · 51-55, M
No I would trust her to be faithful
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Probably not
WendyLopez43 · 26-30, F
@MarineBob Not be jealous or not accept it?
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@WendyLopez43 not accept it
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
No, not at all
looping · 18-21
i would have to see how they act around each other before coming to a conclusion.
If you aint gunna marry the best friend say goodbye
WendyLopez43 · 26-30, F
@Venturist What if your best friend is of the same sex and you aren't gay?
Maha123k · 31-35, F
No but if u love her from inside thn yes
nope would encourge her to be more than friends 😜
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
Only if he was 100% gay.
Theyitis · 36-40, M
Sure, no problem.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
Yes. I have women friends. My gf has male friends. It's only an issue if there are trust issues.
SamInAZ · 41-45, M
Really would depend on how I observe the way they interact. If they are touchy feely, hell no.
empanadas · 31-35, M
Naw, not really if they grew up with each other or something
