If that person was a very clear second priority to me then yes. There should only be two people of equal priority in a relationship and then add one for every child they have. Any relationship with three people of equal priority, where one is not a child of the two, is pretty much doomed.

@SW-User I have a male best friend who I've known since elementary school but he's a second priority compared to my husband. In fact, I think knowing I like him more than my male bestie has given my hubby an ego boost.
