Book Recommendation

What book(s) will have me riveted from the first page? In a reading slump :(

Wow you got a lot of suggestions.
I'm not a big reader myself. I am bipolar and it shares traits with ADHD and that makes reading hell on earth.
But when I got on my ADHD medication for the first time I was reading everything!!!!!!!!!!!
Mostly science and mechanical type stuff but I did get a hold of the Bible.
Now I am atheist but I did kind have a curiosity about it.
So I read it like it was intended to be read. Page by page. Chapter by chapter. In order.
It was actually a really good book. Way better than a preacher doing it for you.
Not good enough to turn my views, but I found nothing objectionable in it.
But that's not my recommendation. LOL.
So I read a bunch of the original Amity ville Horror book. That was a page turner I can say. LOL
But a girl I was dating got me to read "Hideaway" by Dean Koontz I believe.
That was a pretty good book really. The movie sucked. :-(

@Dainbramadge Thank you for the suggestions! I, too read the bible but sections at a time. I've never tried page by page. How long did that take? I did find a book though not on the list of recommendations. I too have ADHD so I know what you mean about reading!

@robbie2499 It took me a few days to get to the part where Jesus tells the people about the camel and the eye of the needle. That's where I stopped at.
But I was reading it all day for a few days.

I’m about to start this one by one of my favorite mystery writers. I also enjoy Tana French.

If you’re an enthusiastic reader, please join the Book Lovers Corner group! I post a lot there on books I enjoy.

Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk.

It's one of those books that you might read in one sitting but then wish that you hadn't.

I'd recommend making the enjoyment last.

It's very good.

Um.. Breakfast of champions by kurt vonnegut. Its weird hearing the ending of a story from the start and the mention that eventually the main guy bites off another guys finger.

It's also extremely beautiful, funny and a philosophy centric story. But more would spoil it.

Except that one about the guys finger, he will mention it again.
Fantasy you can't put down: A Deadly Education
Fun & riveting read: The Thursday Murder Club
Moving read: The Overstory
Great historical fiction: Master and Commander
Great science fiction: The Murderbot Diaries
