I'm reading two books! (ADHD and a mood reader). The first one is Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky and the second one it How To Make Friends With The Dark by Kathleen Glasgow.

Crime and Punishment is about Raskolnikov, a very poor student, who plans to kill an old widow with lots and lots of money. In this book, the psychological process before, during, and after the murder is described..10/10 (mind you, this is just a very brief description)

How To Make Friends With The Dark is a book about a 16yo girl, Tiger, who loses her mom abruptly. Devastating and heartbreaking. 10/10

Just started a book about a woman that became a heroine of the dark during WWII and that risked her life as a spy during occupied France. This is a true life story and not a novel. This person really existed. Her name was Virginia Hall and her life is the story of this book titled "A Woman of No Importance".

A book about a girl who became a successful jockey winning every competition but as she grew up and gained weight, she couldn't compete in lightweight category anymore so she had to start training for horse jumping and totally messed it up because she wanted to win her first race. The horse broke his leg and had to be shot. She quit, ran away from that place and became a postwoman.

The author is Sieglinde Dick.

Amok by Stefan Zweig.. The book explores the complexities of the human mind, the extremes of emotional despair, and the consequences of repressed desires. It's a tense and haunting narrative that reflects Zweig's skill in portraying the fragility of the human condition.

A novel written by Jodi Picoult, titled "The Book of Two Ways". I'm towards the end of it, now. I like parts of it enough to be glad to have read it.

I'm not that good at multitasking. I can't read a book and be on SW at the same time.

WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@helpimstuck it’s good, I will most likely finish it tonight or tomorrow.

I like a lot of crime, mystery, and also psychological thrillers. I read a bunch of Freida McFadden novels recently, and a bunch by B.A. Paris as well. I’ve been on a massive reading bender 🙃
helpimstuck · 31-35, M
@WaryWitchWandering This is good! Reading benders are much better than any other sort of benders

DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@helpimstuck The premise is ridiculous beyond words, but the writing so far has been pretty solid, good enough to continue reading even with the ridiculous premise.
helpimstuck · 31-35, M
@DunningKruger Thank you, I’ll take a look

I can read a couple at a time but 4! Damn
@helpimstuck We read them with the kids. We've started them and slowly finishing them. We base their writing on them
