Neither kept my attention

@Pinkstarburst Interesting. What do you usually read? I'm always up for new reads.
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
@AJMoore84 I prefer single novels and not any specific author. I will say that one author I’ve enjoyed is Colin Falconer who writes historical fiction.

I read the Harry Potter books to my son. I think he read the last 2 himself, but I read them too. I found them quite difficult to read out loud.

I met JK Rowling at a book signing in Dallas. She looked exhausted from the book tour she was on. I had never heard of her or Harry Potter because I was a student-athlete then, and it was only on a break in a tournament that we decided to see what she was all about. I bought and read the first book(from her). For the rest, I waited for the movies.
I can't read for enjoyment, but I like audiobooks.

Twilight by a margin. I find the prose style in Harry Potter quite waffly.

I LOVE Harry Potter. I think it's better than Twilight.

Wasn’t crazy about either. I’ll just read a discworld book.

@Convivial Once you've ploughed through one unconvincing account of adolescent-vampire romance, you feel like joining the ranks of the undead yourself 🤷♀🦇🧛🏻

@SunshineGirl i suppose true young teens it has an appeal

I somewhat feel embarrassed asking this question. Cause, more people like HP than Twilight. Lol!

Harry Potter - it had everything:
Drama
Tears
Disappointment
Unexpected turns
Hilarity
Bigotry
Good vs evil
Twilight was ok. But i felt it could have been deeper, broader....gone further.
