I prefer a real book , even on a plane . It’s an age thing .

No, wish I did. So you have a special Kindle tablet? And that's only for reading books right? I'm not really familiar with them.

@LadyGrace If you have any tablet, mine is Samsung - you can download kindle books from Amazon. I have Amazon Prime so some of the books are free to download or very little cost.
@Ceitidh 🤭 I'm embarrassed. I've done that before but for some reason couldn't find them back. 🤣🤣😂😂😂
@Ceitidh I, too, have a Samsung tablet. I do love the fact that they are free. Thought I would try it again sometime. Thanks for the tip

Kindle app on a tablet... Best of both worlds

Not a kindle…Although I prefer a real book, I do read on my iPad. I read a lot of books…the typical novel only takes me about 2-3 hours to read…..so buying them gets expensive. I also travel for work, and carrying around actual books gets cumbersome.
I have a kindle and i also have real books. I sometimes just prefer bringing just one book with me so I can focus.
We also have an audible account so if I am feeling lazy, i just listen to the audible version😅.
I prefer the Kindle because every book becomes the same physical size, the font is about the same and I can easily carry around an entire library in about magazine size/weight
I've not tried it yet.
Really got into audio books...given the narrator is well chosen.
Always loved reading, and I do miss the printed page though.

No Kindle, only actual books -- thousands of them in our house.

My aunt she lives in Tulsa and we usually go see her though the year. I usually talk my husband into stopping at the book store. I usually end up getting a few books and he all was looks at the comics. My tablet has a kindle and I use it a lot. My wife she would rather read a book then watch TV

I do because I get through a lot of books and it was costing me a fortune. I can get through 5/6 a month. So I now I borrow from the library for a monthly subscription and can read as many as I like and I don’t have to find space for them all.
I got an ereader (mine is a Kobo) because ebooks are a lot cheaper, and you can fit quite a lot of them into one ereader which saves a lot of space. I do still prefer the experience of reading a physical book.

I have a Kindle Fire. I have only purchased a handful of physical books since 2010, when I got my first iPad.
I use the Libby app on my iPad.
eli1601 · 70-79, M
@OlderSometimesWiser I do as well, and also Cloud Library. Neither is great.
@eli1601 I actually love Libby. Have two entire library’s collections at my fingertips.
eli1601 · 70-79, M
@OlderSometimesWiser I don't find Libby user friendly. Overdrive, which preceded Libby was a lot easier to use to recommend books. Of course, the biggest thing is the actual library you borrow from. A big city or county library system will have many more books than a smaller one.

Books for the most part. I always enjoy reading a couple of pages before going to bed

I have four. Love the fact that you can read in the dark.
