My favorite is The Stand, followed by Salem's Lot.

Absolutely LOVED the original version of The Gunslinger, but he released an extended version of it a few years back and it added a lot of extra description and changes that made it hard for me to get through.

Doctor Sleep is awesome, as is The Stand, but if you're ever itching to try new horror authors, check out:

Misery is a great movie but I never read the book. I also watched the movie by myself even though misery loves company.

My best memory of reading King was with Needful Things.

Rose Madder, not a popular one but it was a good one. My favorite anyway.

When it comes to King always read the book then watch the movie. My favorite will always be Misery. And another example where the book is better than the movie.

Salem's Lot or The Stand. Both are great, and translated well into movies.

But it's a hard choice, The Stand is another one of my favourites. I have basically read them all.

The gunslinger series. I read the first one as a child and grew up with them.
