Stephen King strikes again

But he doesn't strike out.

Billy Summers, published this month, is way different from most of King's work. Only the merest touch of horror emerges in some vague references to the hedge animals at the Overlook Hotel from The Shining.

Of course, Billy's a paid assassin, which is arguably horror.

I recommend it.

Note: May only be available on audiobook.

So you don't think it's all that great?
@DropTopDig Hard to choose...

I loved Rose Madder, The Stand, and The Dead Zone maybe ... maybe ...most.
@Mamapolo2016 The Stand was kind of prophetic, wasn't it? I liked Firestarter myself. F*ck the gov't
@DropTopDig Yes. It's hard to choose.

I'm looking forward to reading it, when I can. Most of my favorite books of his have not had a lot of what I'd catagorize as horror in them, although there isn't much he's written that I've not enjoyed reading at all.

It has good reviews, some said it's King's best work in years.
@CastorTroy I always like his stuff, but this is quite good.

@Mamapolo2016 The last one I read was Finders Keepers, so think I will try this new one. Thanks for posting about it.

I told my brother that the clerk in the antique store was Stephen King himself in IT 2. He was so baffled😂
@SW-User Baffled about who King is?

@Mamapolo2016 yeah. He is not a reader but a big fan of movies based on his novels

I used to read every Stephen King book but got away from them several years ago. The last one I read was 11/22/63
@fun4us2b He's very good, Joe Hill.

@Mamapolo2016 Takes after his dad!
@fun4us2b Time me will tell, but he may be even better than his dad.
