Stephen King strikes again

But he doesn't strike out.

Billy Summers, published this month, is way different from most of King's work. Only the merest touch of horror emerges in some vague references to the hedge animals at the Overlook Hotel from The Shining.

Of course, Billy's a paid assassin, which is arguably horror.

I recommend it.

Note: May only be available on audiobook.

I used to read every Stephen King book but got away from them several years ago. The last one I read was 11/22/63
@eli1601 You didn't like '63?

@Mamapolo2016 I thought it was excellent and not at all what I expected considering his politics.

I just got away from his books. No specific reason.
@eli1601 It happens.

@eli1601 @Mamapolo2016 I also read 63 - and the mini-series is not half bad. There's a terrific scene with JFK speaking which gives me chills just thinking about it - his son Joe Hill is pretty good too, I liked "Horns"
@fun4us2b He's very good, Joe Hill.

@Mamapolo2016 Takes after his dad!
@fun4us2b Time me will tell, but he may be even better than his dad.
