That's part of what got EP in trouble - people anonymously insulting and threatening others, anonymously giving out other member's personal information, etc. It would be great if people wouldn't abuse it, but I have no doubt they would.

@assemblingaknob I'm convinced that overuse of the anonymous option was the main thing that killed Yahoo!Answers. Y!A just became a cesspool of insults and lies.
They had a legitimate reason for anonymous posts - if someone was in certain kinds of trouble, being able to ask for help anonymously can be useful. But it was totally abused.

The PM feature here can be used the same as it was on EP. Some of us called it the back alley. A lot of people on EP used it to create groups to gang up on someone aside from just private messaging. I can imagine that has happened here as well.
