I admit I was mildly concerned in my last relationship

When my ex sent me links to websites about Zodiac sign compatibility in marriage less than 3 weeks after our first date, and then gave me a Christmas tree ornament saying “Our First Christmas”, barely 1 month after our first date.

I don’t recall anything about astrology when it came to my education. The working adage that I use is: If it’s not science, it’s superstition. Where is the evidence for astrology? Say-so anecdotes? Can you find anyone, anywhere on the internet that can show it works and how it works. I’ll wager the house.

What astrology is good for is making excuses and avoiding personal responsibility.

I read about zodiac sign compatibility a lot. It's entertaining to say the least and gives me something to be excited about. I am more pragmatic now though. Go at a comfortable pace. Time will tell if you are really going to get along.

@SW-User I agree that it's a bit fast paced... but I figured that I'm a bit old fashioned or something because a lot of relationships around here seem to progress at a faster pace than I am comfortable with - I did warn another friend to slow things down a few times in his relationship for that reason.

Another friend is looking at losing his unborn child because he didn't listen to me and slow things down... he impregnated his girlfriend's best friend (with her knowledge) and now they have both dumped him and shacked up together somewhere in a lesbian relationship.

@SW-User I'm not sure how I can help him to get access to the child, short of waiting for them to come back looking for maintenance payments - then having him tell them that they aren't getting a dime until a DNA test has been done and his name is on the birth certificate for the child.

At least that opens the door for him to potentially look at getting access to the child - as well as preventing them from taking the child out of the country without his permission.
