I still don’t know what new criticism theory is

The chapter on it doesn’t once say what it is about, or at least not in a way that is understandable. I even googled it and still don’t understand what it is. How the hell am I supposed to pass this class if this is what its like? 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬
