Just a thought

A friend I grew up with died this morning. I knew it was a matter of time. We use to be pretty good friends but I went to the military and we went to drugs and alcohol. He had a bunch of kids as well he left behind. I knew he had liver failure and as a user he wasn't going to get a transplant. Really sucks he went down that road and its kind of weird too because he went down that road as an adult not as a kid. Anyway we weren't close anymore I had to distance myself from him 15 years ago because of his choices.

Sad he died but it sounds like he lived the way he wanted and that is something.
You have to wonder though, if he knew his death date and the reason why if he would have followed the same path.
Are there others reading this following this path, and they still think they are invincible?

@MisterBander It isn't really my loss I said goodbye 15 years ago, but thanks. I don't think he lived how he wanted to though I think he was tortured by some demons. His home was broken like a lot of ours were, but he got addicted like his parents were.
