Just a thought

For the past year i played a silly little phone game app. I made a few friends. One is a person from Malaysia. She is like a little sister to me now. She is muslim and one of the most wonderful of people. Muslim hate is fabricated propaganda designed to use fear to cause hate. Do better and spread empathy not hate.

Unfortunately some people who preach against hating Muslims end up creating a narrative that shelters muslim communities from taking responsibility for their own shortcomings and extremist behaviours.

Not saying you do that.

It is just something I experienced from westerners and Muslims alike. And plenty of atheists, LGBTQ+, women activists, muslim progressives, jews, Christians, ethnic minorities..etc have to experience.

Yes, there is discrimination and unjustifiable amount of hatred towards Muslims.

But there is also discrimination and even much more cruelty from Many muslim communities towards others. And much of it hides religious dynamics that needs be broken apart and shed away. A topic that shouldn't be sacrificed for whatever purpose people have at mind.

One can do both. Defend Muslims and hold them accountable. Same for any other group.

@Miram i dont know if i agree with that or not. It makes more sense to me that if someone falls into extremeist behavior you take them out of the group and put them into a new group. If someone kills for religious belief be it christian, muslim, jew etc... they now are a terrorist not a christian, muslim or a jew. If their community hides and protects them without seeking justice then their commuity is now a terrorist sympathizer.

When you look at what makes a serial killer what they are they all share a trait of not capable of feeling empathy and yet millions of people walk around who also have that trait of not being able to feel empathy each day with out killing.

They tried blaming mass killings on motivating factors such as music, movies, video games, and yet the vast magority of us are unnaffected and live normal lives with these factors in our lives.

Killers have walked all parts of life from nurses, doctors, lawyers, farmers, caregivers, teachers etc... there isnt any profession, any religion, any group that is protected against someone being affiliated and doing something terrible in life.

It isnt acceptable to take an individual and to hate them for one varriable of their life if they are living peacefully and not hurting others.

Looking at the christians because im more educated on the group i belong to and there are many examples of christianity beliefs that are far different from the ones i believe in and practice. They have had christian crusades and justified many radical killings. West borrow baptist go around and desecrate the gravesites of fallen war veterans. Mormons believe a whole additional addon to the bible etc...

I have seen muslim communities that are further away from the middle east don't fall into violence like i have seen through history with sucide bombings and stonings and such. I definitely know some countries like eygypt have laws towards women that are violent and need to be changed.

When covid hit many communities in the US had to make campaigns to fight against asian hate. People were being killed and pushed in front of subway trains or something similar because of the rhetoric the far right used with placing blame on the covid virus. Which kind of shows an example of the ignorance i am trying to speak out against of. The countries that have laws that hate women and support violence against women i will still speak out of against them, but the individual person living as a Muslim who is peaceful and not trying to bring violence towards anyone or anything i will speak up and give my support to as a right to exist peacefully.

I think the main purposes of my post is simply to reel people back in from ignorance and hate that would jump to do violence towards a Muslim. With recent events and conflicts violence towards peaceful people in my country will jump up with people falling into the ignorance that all Muslims are bad and deserve violence against them.

My friend I speak of have tiny birds she takes care of. Koi fish she buys. Purses and things she thinks are nice and teaches children as a teacher. She has a PhD in teaching from a school in Europe and is now back in Malaysia not trying to cause harm or hurt anyone.
