just a thought

Cows are front-end burpers, not back-end farters.

Most of the gas a cow produces is made in their first stomach, which is located right behind their throat. It is much easier for them to just burp it out than to push it through 100 feet of intestines to the back. Because of this, about 95% of a cow's gas comes out as a burp.

The part most people do not realize is that cows do not have the plumbing to fart that pressure away. They do not have a "back door" exit for that gas. This is why eating things like alfalfa is so dangerous for them. It creates a foam that blocks their throat and traps the gas inside. Since they cannot pass the gas out the back end, they swell up like a balloon and can actually die because they have no other way to release the pressure.

I like this fact a lot because it allows me to talk smack to people who try to start trouble with me. I simply tell them "you don't even know cows can't fart" and move along with my day. What is your favorite comebacks?

That’s a great explanation. When the Green New fart tax was proposed I wondered if the Dems knew anything about anything. I knew the only cow farts that existed were the ones the Dems were making themselves.

I didn’t know the very logical physiology behind it though. Thanks for sharing that.
