Just a thought

I started my journey of improving my mental health years ago with the goal of finding more joy in my life. There is a lot of things that use to bring me joy that just doesn't anymore.

I built a beast of a computer, which i use to find so much joy in that, but even this was more like a chore hoping everything went right.

Playing guitar and making music use to bring me joy and so did working out, but its all just chores to me now.

The one thing i can recognize that really makes me so happy that i just cant help it is when i buy my dogs a new toy and they are running around the house happy not able to contain their excitement. That really gets to me in a good way and im glad that i can recognize that because it is important to be aware of how we feel and what makes us feel how we feel.

Now im not looking for advice i will continue seeing professionals where i place my trust into. Writing publicly is a challenge to fight ptsd and truama with exposure therapy.

It's commendable how you recognize these things in yourself. Rarely people are ever this reflective of themselves. Keep going ! Don't give up!

@Leaveamessage Exactly my thought too. Like self realization is tougher than a lot of folks think it is. But he added action towards getting better, very commendable.
