Good people do good things, bad people do bad things. But it takes religion for good people to do bad things.

Worse yet, they are proud of themselves.

As a Catholic (if lapsed and partly because of what you've said) I can whole heartedly state I do not recognise what some segments of my denomination have been twisted into.
@Longpatrol you're not personally on trial ...I'm just making a general observation
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
@cherny It happens to align with observations I myself have made

That's the problem with using faith as a shield instead of a guide. People picking and choosing which parts benefit them in the moment.
HijabaDabbaDoo · F
Opportunistic people will use whatever they can and religion by nature contains morality and behaviour so it's easy to use that as a tool
@HijabaDabbaDoo people will always tell on themselves with their actions and try to equate that to religion ...twisting and turning things so it looks favorable
greensnacks · F
I agree. Anyone that can justify such actions but not apply the same template to others is a biased twerp.
CookieCrumbs · F
Those people use religion as a mask for their own insecurities and failures, yet they use it as a basis to judge others.
DareToSayIT · M
Don’t get be started on all these “ it’s a part of the plan” enablers. Can we for a moment keep our beliefs aside and talk like freakin humans without bring up that someone who apparently watches people during private hours!
@DareToSayIT I'm a people watcher
