They sell them in some grocery stores and most all Hispanic owned grocery stores here. They remove the large spines but you have to take a new scrubby pad and scrub off the tiny little spines before cooking. Then heat up a skillet add some olive oil and fry them, makes a good veggie sandwich. A Mexican lady that I worked with told me her husband wanted that about once a week. Not bad at all. I’m sure it has some health benefits, I know the fruit does.
