Honestly as much as I'll celebrate trump dying of natural causes soon due to poor health, I'm scared over what his cult will do.

I'm watching videos of parents who basically were taken over by the cult. We're talking about people who were very kind and pro immigrant, raised their children with kinder values. Then all of a sudden start repeating things Trump says and pretty soon they're lost. Maga is a cult and it's going to be rough when he dies as a lot of these people weren't originally right winged to begin with, whatever hurt they had in their life to make them fall for a cult leader is going to come crashing down on them. It's sad to me.

But also for the people who are right winged but went a little farther to the right, I'm gonna hate to see what happens then and don't doubt for a minute there's gonna be violence. It's basically what happens when your whole life is like a hive mind personality and then the hive mind of Trumpism collapses.

I hope I'm wrong though.

Just so you know that you and I are in the same camp on this one, I've already purchased a life insurance policy on DJ Trump, so I'll split my winnings with you when I receive the payout check in the mail!

What you speak of is of valid concern, though a past President like Reagan and Reaganomics for example, cannot be compared to Trump and Trumpism. Both are two birds of an entirely different feather and to try and compare both political eras as being co-related in some fashion with each other as some here in this thread are attempting to do, is a complete misunderstanding of the concept of MAGA and Trumpism.

When Trump bites the dust in the foreseeable future by some natural cause, such as a direct hit from a lightning strike or the collapsing of a concrete bridge onto his personal car driven by his youngest son "Lurch Trump" while out on a father and son bonding expedition on a Sunday afternoon, WHO will be the lucky one who will actually take over the MAGA movement the next day?

Technically speaking, it would be JD Vance who of course is Trump's VP, assuming that Vance wasn't with The Donald and son Lurch on that Sunday drive in the country. JD Vance though Republican, is not a representative figure that anyone will connect with the MAGA movement. JD Vance therefore, cannot carry the MAGA torch as Trump's equal.

The thing is, MAGA is not a Republican movement, MAGA is an extreme right-wing Trump movement. MAGA represent the extreme right, whereas Republicanism in America represents the 'center-right'.

MAGA has a mascot who's name is Donald J. Trump and Americans from both the right and left sides, identify with MAGA as being Trump and Trump as being MAGA, meaning that both are seen together as one entity at all times and never as separate entities unto each other.

What this means is, when Trump dies, the concept of MAGA dies along with him because MAGA cannot and will not be represented by some alternative political figure like JD Vance for example.

Remember what happened to the Charlie Kirk saga?

As soon as Charlie died, the Charlie Kirk movement and it's political Foundation collapsed completely within 30 days of his death and nobody talks about good `ol Charlie anymore.

The same thing will happen with Trump, Trumpism and MAGA when Trump exits his lifetime, stage left. When Trump dies, the MAGA movement will end immediately until a new cult name and political figurehead is created by the extreme-right, who will then attempt to push the old MAGA agenda but will present it as a different color than the old MAGA use to be. In other words, a re-branding of MAGA will likely occur and a new mascot will be assigned the role of Parade Master to that new branding.

The likelihood of that happening however, will be slim to nil, because the only reason that MAGA worked so well in the first place is because of Trump himself, not because of what MAGA represented as a stand-alone right-wing cult following.

Nazism in Germany in the 1930's didn't become popular because of Nazism itself, it became popular because Hitler, an unknown man who hid in the political shadows, piggybacked his agenda on Mussolini's intense popularity among the Italian crowd in Italy.

When Hitler and Mussolini then took Hitler's show on the road together, Hitler became instantly popular among the Mussolini followers in Italy and German Nazism began to flourish across Central Europe because of Mussolini's popularity, not Hitler's! The same thing will happen with MAGA. Trump and MAGA are like Mussolini and Nazism. Trump's popularity and Mussolini's popularity is what carried the day in both cases.

@swirlie Quite so. MAGA serves Trump. But in the broader scheme of US politics, MAGA is transitional movement, like Hitlers Brownshirts. They will disappear when no longer useful and be absorbed.. Anyone "difficult" will be dealt with and the movement consigned to history, maybe even represented as part of the problem. (Who doesnt like a good scapegoat.?)😷

You are fixated on TDS! I can remember when similar things were said about Reagan, Bush, and all the other Presidents! And, guess what? Everything the "doom and gloom" predictors said NEVER HAPPENED! And it will be the same this time around!
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
@fanuc2013 We are still paying the price of Reagan's "trickle down" economics and tax cuts that increased both the wage discrepancy and the federal deficit. Bush/Cheney launched the endless wars Trump rails against (while enmeshing us in more) and the brutal, illegal torture tactics of offshore internment/re-education camps and Guatanamo that Trump is expandiing. So how can you say "nothing happened"?
AbstractWave · 61-69, M
@fanuc2013 TDS is that similar to JFG? Some of those store brands are really poor quality.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@fanuc2013 Funnily enough both Reagan and Bush (Pick a Bush. Either will do) did take steps to push America down the slippery slope. "Reaganomics was a farce that fed the rich at the expense of the poor and the deregulation of both Bushs made it more profitable and wider ranging.. Now the world supply of loot is drying up and the resources of ordinary Americans are running out.😷

I personally think the cult’s damage and violence will escalate regardless of what happens to their hero and when and we’d be better off with t47CF dead ASAP.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@AbstractWave Yeah it likely doesn't matter, there's a lot of naturally violent people in the Maga cult but there's a huge trend of people who have posted about losing their loved ones to the cult. We're talking about like literal body snatching overnight change type stuff. These are people who raised their kids on human rights values and stuff.

So I'm kinda leaning that way, like it's going to hurt once their identity dies of natural causes like Trump. It's literally the only reason they seem to wake up in the mornings and I'm kinda worried about what the cult will do as that's a large part of his base.
AbstractWave · 61-69, M
@SatanBurger a few may snap out of it! I hope anyway they can, I have a brother in law that did due to t47CF’s policies.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@AbstractWave There is a female on YouTube who used to be almost very far right and snapped out of it too, uses how she used to be to educate people. It's very interesting.
Neoliberal economics and neoconservative foreign policy will have to come up for review if you want change!
So, mums the word!
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
You should be. Make no mistake, there is a plan bigger than Trump..
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
These trump cultists are barely sentient. They're like fundamentalist snake handlers. They convulse to the music and when they see someone pick up a snake and say hand me one too brother. They don't know that the Trump snakes haven't been milked.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
trumpers will concoct whacked out conspiracy theories. That cult will eventually splinter and fade away. Vance has the charisma of a flat tire.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
Cult leader 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
