Does anyone actually like the Avatar movies?
I mean like they like Star Wars and Star Trek and other geek stuff? Not in the "Oh, they were fine" way.

It was an interesting concept, but the director's huge ego was hard to take.
And they only had two sequels...right? [I only saw the first two movies]
So not a whole lineup of TV series', 3 triologies on the silver screen...

I don't think so -- I mean, it did take more than a decade to make the first sequel, and I'm not sure anyone actually cared.

@ChipmunkErnie And yet they're two of the top three highest grossing movies in history. Avatar is the second highest grossing film in history when adjusted for inflation, and is only a couple hundred million behind Gone with the Wind.

@DunningKruger I don't know, haven't seen any of them. I saw GONE WITH THE WIND back in the 1960s in re-release -- cost 75 cents to get in, if I remember right. But I tried to look it up and a lot depends on if you mean in theater gross or include streaming, DVD sales, etc. But AVATAR did damned good. LOL
