@jshm2 I completely agree, however, this was a random thought which was never verbally spoken. May have simply been timing, but it was incredible timing.
I have had conversations with people in ear shot of my phone, where a location wss mentioned and the next time i got into my car (Android Auto) that location popped up. That one was clear what happened.

Companies create an avatar of an user. Their likes their wants etc based on browsing history. Then they predict. Good ads predict well what you'd like. Cookies exist for this. To track your behavior and adjust accordingly.
Some apps use eye tracking to see your interest (Meta).
They're working on fNIRS, near compact infrared waves devices that can measure brain activities and I'm most certain those would be incorporated into earphones(BTW brainwave measuring earphones already exist) and phones to further track us and make us buy.
